Free Lightroom presets
After numerous people asked about my Adobe Lightroom settings as used on the picture above I’ve decided to save them as a couple of presets and make them available. I initially created them so as to give a consistent feel to this set of photographs of my father and now favour this look on most of my colour photographs.
Feel free to adapt them, they’re my starting point and very often need further tweaking depending on a photographs colour, exposure etc. It should also be said that they’re not magical in any way and will more often than not fail to create a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. Enjoy.

I worked for 15 years as an editorial photographer in London back when nobody had heard of ‘digital’ and film was costly. My clients included the BBC, IPC Media and Associated Newspapers.
