I worked for 15 years as an editorial photographer in London back when nobody had heard of ‘digital’ and film was costly. My clients included the BBC, IPC Media and Associated Newspapers.
In 2001 when I realized that to be very successful as a photographer I would need to become either a) bloody fantastic or b) egotistic (the latter option already heavily overpopulated), I knew it was time to leave the big city and seek out new beginnings.
Now I enjoy a quiet life in South Wales where I work as a web designer/developer; primarily using WordPress as a CMS, creating sites for studios on both sides of the Atlantic.
2008. After abandoning photography for nearly 7 years I’ve started to shoot again, finding a new joy in using my ’serious compact’, a Ricoh GRD1 [Update 2009: a GRD3]. For the curious; I’m shooting a lot of street photography which can be seen here. My old professional photography portfolio is still online here.
This blog will contain examples of my photography, information related to my web work, and any other stuff I find interesting. A veritable dumping ground if you will.
