I worked for 15 years as an editorial photographer in London back when nobody had heard of ‘digital’ and mobile phones were the size of a small suitcase. My clients included BBC Worldwide, IPC Media and The Sunday Times.
In 2001 I realized that to be very successful as a commercial photographer I’d need to become either a) bloody fantastic or b) an egomaniac (this latter option already being heavily overpopulated). It was obviously time to leave the big city and seek out new beginnings.
Now I enjoy a quiet life in South Wales working as a freelance web designer/developer; primarily using WordPress as a CMS, creating and developing web sites for studios on both sides of the Atlantic. In my spare time I continue to take photographs.
For the curious, my old professional photography portfolio remains online here.
