In the early eighties, armed with a graphic design degree and a haircut so spiky as to put a porcupine to shame, I moved to London to look for photographic work.

I worked at a photographic studio for six months making tea and painting walls, before leaving to assist a photographer 'full-time'. It was fun, but after a couple of years bag carrying I'd had enough and decided to go solo.

For six months nothing happened, then a chance meeting meant I was given my first commission. The pictures were approved and I started to get regular work. This gave me the opportunity to put together a more rounded portfolio, some of which is reproduced here.
